Sometimes life takes over, and I say good bye to the virtual world! That's what happened this past week!
Son's baseball, daughter's softball (I'm the head coach), PT, awards dinner (I got nominated for a Voices of Inspiration award from a girl I taught in 1st that is graduating HS this year. I was just honored and touched that she remembered me), trying to fix a cranky mower (crap! the Phils lost in 11...), and so much more!
So, my last PT (tentatively last) appointment was this past Monday. I've had two runs on the road since then, both a 1/4 mile walk warm-up, 1.5 mile run, 1/4 mile cool down with PT stuff before to help warm-up, too. In the first I had a couple slight twinges (1/10 on the pain scale) and nothing on the second. I'm running again on Sunday. I'm hoping for 2. If things go well, I think I'll cancel the Monday appointment I have scheduled for this Monday. If it hurts a bit, then I'll continue. I HAVE to get this adductor better, build a lot of base, then build up my distances!!).
I was also interviewed by Alex (@alexbridgeforth) for his web site, Addicted to Running. Check it out and check out his site!! He's a very insightful runner!!
Also, don't forget to sign up for the Virtual 5k! You can run anytime, anywhere the whole week! it doesn't have to be an actual race, it can just be any run on your own, on the road, trail or treadmill! Check out the main site for prizes and info!!
And on a sad note, Adam Yauch, MCA of the Beastie Boys, passed earlier today. I admire him for what he did to help Tibet. I've always loved their music and always will. RIP!
