I feel like I'm going insane. I need to do something. Yes, I just said this above, but I can't stop my fingers from typing. I plan on not running for at least a few more days (other than the short run to the phone in which I experience no pain- I saw this as a plus). It still hurts when I massage the area. I have full range of motion with no pain. As of now, I have no pain when I walk, but I did. Another positive. I'm going to leave you with this...
Um, I already said...I'm hurt...
Great post! Love the pic & quote. I can relate. Hang in there! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Runnergirl! I was injured for a lot of last winter but wasn't chomping at the bit as much as I am now. I might be able to run now, but I want to wait. I figure that I don't have any goal races left for a while and I reached all my 2011 goals as well. Thanks for the support!!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I found the picture on pinterest. I've found lots of great stuff on there!
ReplyDeleteSo it only hurts when you run? I had this happen to me twice, both times because I was sprinting/pushing too hard. Are you able to bike? I found that riding the stationary bike, though boring, is a good way to keep the lungs up until you can run again. And when all else fails, advil advil advil! Good luck, I'm sure it'll get better soon!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried the bike yet...but that would require me to put it back together (I took it apart a while back to clean it, but gave up on triathlons to focus on running). But, I do have the extra time and energy...guess I should tackle that pup. Our garage is quite a bit cleaner now, too :) Thanks Tink!
