I can't do dairy and run.
Me+dairy+running=upset stomach
No, I had to eat potato soup 2 hours before a run. Yeah, 2 hours, and it still hit me. The soup had milk (I don't drink milk), butter (only use it on garlic bread) and cheese (I eat it sparingly- mostly on nachos or that once in a while burger and cheese fries- oh yeah, pizza- ok, not so sparingly for cheese).
4 mile run tonight with a 2 mile time trial. I was hoping for around 13:00 to 13:00 for the TT but ended up with 13:26. Not too far off, but I was still a bit disappointed. The stomach didn't hit until the last 1/4 mile or so but wasn't bad at all until after I slowed for the cool down. It still hurts now, but I gotta stop doing dairy before I run...
On another note, I can check another goal off of my 2012 goal list. One goal was to run 10 miles. I had it split into 3 different times: Under 1:30, 1:25 and 1:20. I got 10 done in 1:30 last weekend!
I'll be off tomorrow and Friday and back to running on Saturday and Sunday!!!
Have a great one!
I can't do dairy either….my stomach is very sensitive with regard to running!
ReplyDeleteI hear ya, Beth! I love coffee, but it doesn't love me when I do long runs!
