And on Friday, I iced...

Today has officially been proclaimed "Ice and Yoga" day! Today is an off day on my running schedule. Don't know how long I'll be able to sit still for, though. I've been itching (yeah, poison ivy again...hate this crap) to get a couple things done in our gardens- removing the mulch, weeding, laying down cloth, putting down rocks, and putting up netting around our blueberry bushes in preparation for next year and hopefully getting blueberries before the birds do.
Plus the stinking rabbits are eating the bushes now. Stupid cute nose wiggling waskly wabbits...yeah, that's one of the offenders to the left. We named this one Mini Chocolate (Chocolate and Super Mini Chocolate are the other two we see regularly).
I also want to get another section of the gardens weeded, lay down some cloth, place some rocks and then the larger stones back in with the rocks around the side gate to a section of the yard we don't use except to mow and say "We really need to weed this part of the yard..."

Icing needs to get done big time today. I've already done one round on my hip, groin and foot. Should be no problem for my long runs this weekend...I hope. It's been a couple weeks since I've run over 10 miles in one shot and I'm really itching to get into my new LaSportiva Crosslites and hit the trails (thanks Zappos for the pic...didn't feel like taking one of my own...)! Of course I'm worried that after a few miles I'm going to say, crap, I hate these. On the positive side, the New Balance MT 101 is getting an update to the MT 110 with wider sizes! But, they won't be out until January...I guess I'll have to wait to try them out. Hopefully I'll love them as much as the not wide enough MT 101!
