Trail Running

I love trails! Running on trails gives me a chance to get back to nature. Of course, if I spend too much time looking at it, I'd be laying down face first with the trail giving it a big kiss. Trail running does have it's ups and downs...

This is what some of those ups look like...(hmmmm...it looked harder when I was running it)

And running up them can make you look like this...

But then there are some just absolutely beautiful views!

You never know what you might see around the next turn...there really is a deer somewhere in that picture

Some nice single track to run on (who knows what's in the grass...I hate snakes...)

And there are some really old roads...

I just love being in the woods!!

I've spent a lot of time running at Blue Marsh. I really do love it there. I do feel the need to branch out more. We've got a couple spots nearby where I can get to the Appalachian Trail as well as a couple parks within 35 minutes or so that have a decent amount of miles in trails. But there's also a comfort in running at Blue Marsh. They have over 30 miles of trails, it's only about 20 minutes away, there are many different points I can start at, I can go any distance out and back or do a couple different lengths of loops and the views are just gorgeous!

  2. I wish I had more places around me! Though ,once the farm fields are plowed, I do run in the one behind our house (.8 mile loop) and I might branch into the one next to it to add more to the loop.
