So, today was my long run day. I was hoping to do 8-10, all depending on how my foot felt (It was my right that was hurting). So, I felt great! Well, my feet did. At about three miles in I had been draaaaagggggging, badly. I was hot as heck, tired and feeling like a slow friggin slug trying to run with a pound of salt on it's back. Then I realized that...I still had my jacket on! I hit a hard hill and was going slow anyway, so I took off my jacket and felt much better within about a half mile. The hills along this section are much harder than I remembered. Some of them I had to fast walk up, some I slugged my way through. I was able to make it to the 5 mile out point in about 53 minutes. On the way back I started feeling better and better. I finished the second half in 51 minutes! My last two miles were the fastest 2 miles of my 10 mile run!
Now to my feet. The right was fine, but the left was a bit sore while running, but not anything major like it was back in December to February. Well, now it's worse than it was when I was running. It's hurting right where the original pain was...so, I'm enjoying the speed I showed today (29 seconds faster per mile than the last I did this 10 mile run back in September), but with an ice pack on my foot, hoping I'll be able to run pain free real soon (uh, like, tomorrow???).
